Little Joys That Make Life Feel Calmer.

Life often rushes by in a blur. Noisy, hurried, demanding. But every so often, I catch myself slowing down, almost as if God is whispering, "Look closer. There is beauty here," And when I do, I find little joys waiting for me like hidden treasures, soft as a secret, steady as a heartbeat.

Dawn of A New Day.

The morning light peeks through the blinds like a shy visitor, and I stand there, rumpled robe wrapped around me, listening to the hush of a new day. The air feels softer here, almost scared, like the world is holding its breath. I linger, because in this pause, I remember Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God"

It feels as though even the sky is joining me in my prayer.

Self Care, Not Vanity.

Three bottles, lined up like little guardians of peace. A drop here, a gentle touch there, and suddenly the air feels calmer. It is not vanity, it is a ritual. Taking care of my skin has become more than a routine. It is an act of kindness toward myself. A few drops of oil, a gentle cleanser, a moisturizer. It is not about perfection, but about honoring the body God gave me.

These moments remind me that even self-care can be holy when it is rooted in gratitude.

Words That Steady My Heart.

Some of my calmest joys come from scribbled notes and verses tucked between pages. A sticky note with Psalm 37, a line of prayer written in blue ink. They are whispers of God's promises to me, reminding me not to fret, but to trust, dwell, and find delight.
There is a kind of magic in words written that has outlived centuries. Each time I scribble, I see it as a conversation, a connection that is unbreakable. It is as though heaven bends low to listen when my pen touches paper, and I sometimes imagine angels nodding "Yes, she remembered"

A Gentle Light.

There is a peace that comes when sunlight breaks through fabric, casting golden patterns across the room. Standing there quietly, I breathe in slowly and thank God for the gift of light itself. Sometimes, it feels like this is His way of reminding me that morning always comes, no matter how long the night has been.

God's Beauty in the Smallest Blooms.

Tiny flowers in unexpected places always stop me in my tracks. They are delicate, fleeting, yet full of color and life. Isn't it amazing how creation praises God without even trying? These blooms teach me to notice life's details and trust that beauty grows quietly, even in hidden corners.

A Simple Meal, A Quiet Joy.

Food is another form of worship for me. Not in the eating itself, but in the gratitude it stirs. A plate of eggs, a sliced yogurt bagel, nothing fancy. Yet, in that moment, I am transported back to the times I could not afford two full meals a day. Having this, and knowing I can have more, is reason to be grateful.

The world will always hurry us along; in fact, it makes sure we either fall into place or we are left behind. But little joys, slow us down and remind us that calm is not something we chase, it is something we notice.
Whether it is scripture, a warm breakfast, or the sunlight through curtains, I want to keep learning to see God in the little things.

Because it is in the little joys that my soul finds its calm.💕

What little joys made you smile today?

With Love,
Margaret (Kaego).
