God is Girl's Dad

There's something tender and unexplained about the way a father holds his daughter's heart. It is supposed to be a bond of safety, where a girl knows she can run to her dad and find open arms, laughter, connection, comfort and most importantly, security.

Some of us never really knew our fathers. Others grew up with men who were there physically but absent emotionally. Many of us carry silent aches from relationships with fathers that has left us feeling unseen, unheard, and even unloved. Those empty places often follow us into womanhood. In the ways we love, trust, and even how we see ourselves.

But here is the beauty of God's story for us. He steps in as the Father every girl deserves.

When no one else noticed the silent tears, He did. when you felt overlooked in a crowded room, He saw you. When you wondered if you were truly lovable, He whispered, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued my faithfulness to you" (Jeremiah 31:3).

God's fatherhood is not fragile. It doesn't fade with time. He is not too busy for you, too distracted, or too distant. He delights in you simply because you are His.

As women, we often carry the weight of many roles. We are mothers, sisters, wives, friends, caregivers, professionals, and dreamers. Some days, it feels like we are holding up the whole world. Yet, in all of that, we forget that we are still daughters. Still little and precious in God's eyes. Loved, chosen, protected.

Being God's daughter is not about perfection, as I have come to find. It is not about performing well enough to earn His love. It is about resting in the truth that His love is already yours. You do not need to earn it. You do not need to chase it. You already have it. This mentality changes everything.

So when insecurity whispers that you are not good enough, remember that God says in Psalm 139:14, "You are fearfully and wonderfully made."

When rejection tells you that you aren't wanted, remember His promises in Isaiah 43:1: "You are mine."

When loneliness settles in and tries to steal your peace, remember Hebrews 13:5, which tells you, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

So, here is the truth worth carrying into everyday: you are not just a woman trying to make it through life. You are a daughter of the King. And He is a Father every girl deserves.

The love of God as a Father is not a theory; it is a reality meant to be lived, breathed, and felt. It is the kind of love that makes you stand tall, smile deeper, and hope again.

Maybe, just maybe, it is a reminder you need today that no matter what your earthly story is with your father, you still belong to the One who will never fail you.💕

With love,

Margaret (Kaego).

  1. This is such a blessing to read. Sometimes it is hard to remember that I was a child and a person before I am anything else.
